Chuck Norris Doesn't Kick, He Chokes.

A while back someone at a Huckabee rally asked Chuck Norris how much he wanted to roundhouse kick Mitt Romney. Apparently, he doesn't want to kick Mitt at all -- he wants to choke him.

Huckabee seems nice and all, and the Chuck Norris stumping is a funny little gimmick, but apparently, he's crazy. Some of his critics had been calling him radical, and he shot back in an interview with beliefnet.com:

'"I think the radical view is to say that we're going to change the definition of marriage so that it can mean two men, two women, a man and three women, a man and a child, a man and animal," he said in the interview, published on the Web site Wednesday. "Again, once we change the definition, the door is open to change it again."' -- cnn.com.

Whoops, Mike. Comparing homosexuality to bestiality isn't going to win over that crucial independent vote. It's too bad most high-profile religious types are nuts.

I believe that talking heads often label comments like those of Huckabee as "appealing to a candidate's base." However, he is weirdly disconcerting ... willing to say at one point in time that local and state governments should quarantine people living with HIV/AIDS.

Yikers.

Anyway, Jim, I read your most recent blog post, and that might be one reason a lot of us don't invite our friends to Church.
