Back in Black

I hit the sack
I've been too long, I'm glad to be back.

Yeah, whatever.  It's a stretch.  My wardrobe really doesn't have much black in it, but I am tired, meaning I'm ready to hit the sack, and I am glad to be back.  I don't think any Zeppelin songs deal with coming home (I was just noticing that a good deal of them have to do with leaving, in fact).  Camp was awesome.  I had a great time, and I'm definitely excited to do it again after a ten and a half month break.  I don't think I'd be real into telling a new crop of campers to go to bed right now, but I'm sure I'll be ready to dive back in next year.

So a lot of stuff happened while I was out.  Lance won another tour.  I can't say I'm too surprised, and even though he dumped his wife for Sheryl Crow, I have to give him props for winning six tours after fighting off cancer.  Jerry Colangelo demonstrated to the world once again that he is a deplorable moron.  Seriously.  Who fires the coach after he jacks over his own team?  Haven't been reading much news in the last six weeks, but I did see that Kerry chose Edwards as his running mate.  I think that's good news.  I like the guy.  Colangelo is lucky, because George W. Bush and friends continue to make him look like a genius and a saint.  Needless to say, he's still a dolt.  I'm not in the mood to support that claim with anecdotes right now; instead, if you're curious, just click on the "News" link to the right, and I'm fairly confident that there will be some justification for the insult there.

Well, I'm back here for a month, more or less.  My family is taking a vacation in two days, although we're not sure where we're headed or what we're doing when we get there.  I guess we figure if we pack, the trip will fall into place.  I was out in the heat here for maybe five minutes in all today, and I'm already excited to get up to some trees.  I'm never going to be able to live in the desert.  Wait.  I'd better not say that.  Some irony will be ready to creep up on me, and the only place I'll be able to get a job is in some barren sandhole.

Uh...I've got nothing.  Leave comments on Spider-man 2 or Dodgeball.  I thoroughly enjoyed them both.
