Tornadoes
We had six tornadoes touch down within fifty miles or so of Fort Collins yesterday. I didn't get any pictures -- I've never really wanted to be the guy that captures the photograph of a lifetime, only to be killed by his subject matter. Uncle Jim was saying they'd had two hurricanes in the last hundred years (although don't quote me on that. I'm kinda pulling numbers out of the sky, and he may have been, too. At any rate, they're rare).
Janna was planning on having her graduation party outside by the lake, but there was rain, hail, and wind (blowing very quickly and in a spiral, in some places). Fortunately, her friend Rebecca and she collaborated on the party and Rebecca's family had a big place near the lake that was well suited for entertaining. I didn't take any pictures at the party, because I didn't know too many people there. I feel like you sorta need to have a pass around your neck if you're going to be taking pictures of strangers.
A picture from Janna's convocation that I mentioned earlier. That's Keith and me up top, Janna in the robe, Jake in the black next to her, and Emma and Sam on the bottom row.
Farmland out here on the East slope.
Apparently, Vern's Country Store also claims it has the best cinnamon rolls around. Aunt Dot, Janna, Keith, and I rode out there this morning. Great bike ride.
It was good. Soft, fresh, tasty frosting. It had a larger diameter than the ones at Johnson's, but probably comparable volume. Keith and I felt like Johnson's Corner's rolls won, because the icing was a little better and because it went all the way down through all of the spirals in the cinnamon roll.

I've got some pretty good helmet hair going.
That's all for today. Tomorrow, I get to see my Aunt Kathy and Don, who doesn't like to be called Uncle Don. We're also going to head down to Pearl Street Mall, which is the happening place in Boulder, and I guess the Boulder Creek Festival is going on tomorrow, so there'll be loads of booths, music acts, and street performers.

Brilliant! I like the farmland photo.
So, how many cinnamon rolls can a guy eat in one vacation :) - Keep those photos and updates coming.
Keith and I each wound up eating two, I guess, Jim. We tried to go by Dutch Boy donuts in Fort Collins, which my dad talks about from his years at CSU, but they'd gone out of business.
